Some stories begin with an answer. The Ninefold Vigil begins with a question: what happens when love and danger are impossible to separate? The Ninefold Vigil is my first dark fantasy romance series. Six books are planned, with a possible seventh. The books are presented in series order, beginning with The Ninth Time I Killed You and continuing through The Hand There Was Not. The first three are available; the remaining three are marked Coming soon. I write about people who love each other badly and mean well. I am drawn to stories where the villain and the heroine turn out to be the same woman, and where the most dangerous person in the room is the kind one. Those are the tensions that draw me to dark fantasy romance: tenderness beside danger, good intentions beside difficult choices.
